In our first eye camp since the COVID pandemic, we will be traveling to interior villages north of the Krishna river (Amrabad Tiger Reserve) where tigers were once abundant and still roam. The villages do not have electricity, and temperatures will be over 100 degrees F every day. The Chenchus living here do not have regular access to medical care and no access to eye care. Our dedicated field staff will make sure every last person is examined and treated, and just as importantly, ensure that those we serve have a positive and respectful health care experience. Personally, I am looking forward to reuniting with and working alongside old friends.
