Eye Camp, Nallamala Forest – February 2023

Covering the Eastern and Nothern parts of the Nallamala forest, we treated over 850 people.  We also followed up with patients from previous camps who had  cataract surgery. Their smiling faces and sharing their experience before and after surgery was heartwarming. Their restored vision allowed them to be productive members of their hometowns while enjoying the beauty of the nature that surrounds them.

All of this success would not have been achieved without the women of our amazing Lokana team: Dr Aparna, Ankita, and Sheetal. These inspiring professionals are role models to staff and to our patients in a society (like most societies) that faces its challenges on gender issues.
